About Us
Prior Engagement was established in 2004 as an online wedding boutique.
Whilst preparing for our own wedding we found it difficult to find the products which would make our day stylish and unique. Everything was old-fashioned (and not in a chic, vintage way) or we had seen the same products at everyone else's wedding, so Prior Engagement was created.
We understand most couples work full-time, yet a lot of companies expect you to be available during the day, however, this isn't always possible. Personally we like to be able to find the information we need in our own time, whether that be 11pm on a Wednesday night or 6am on a Sunday morning. So, an online store was established where brides and grooms can shop 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, when it suits them.
At Prior Engagement to ensure our range is fresh, stylish and unique, we source products from all over the world and every product passes through our strict test - Would we have it at our own wedding?

Behind The Name - We have had a lot of comments on our name over the years and we thought it might be helpful to explain it (in case you were wondering). Whilst the name is a play on words ("engagement"). Prior Engagement is for couples who have "prior engagements" and are too busy to travel from shop to shop to purchase invitations, bonbonniere and accessories for their wedding. Everything you need is here in the one place.
